Agenda for Den Meeting on 10-21-2010

Please bring your books to each and every Den Meeting so Parents/Scouts can follow along and check off when requirements are completed.

Confirm Achievement #9 (a-e) was completed at home.

Achievement #2. (10-15 min)

e. Learn how to raise a U.S. flag properly for an outdoor ceremony

f. Participate in an outdoor flag ceremony.

Create Den Flags (30-40 min)

Achievement #7 – (Time permitting)

b. Land, air and water can get dirty.  Discuss with your family ways this can happen.

c. It takes a lot of energy to make glass, cans, and paper products.  You can help save energy by collecting these items for use again.  Find out how recycling is done where you live.  Find out what items you can recycle. (Interest in tour of Monroe County Recycling Facility, Lee Rd??)

d. With an adult, pick up litter in your neighborhood.  Wear gloves to protect your hands against germs and cuts from sharp objects.

e. With an adult, find three stories that tell how people are protecting our world. Read and discuss them together.

f. Besides recycling, there are other ways to save energy.  List three ways, and do them.

• Confirm game for Halloween Pack Meeting
• Scouts are required to wear their uniforms to all Pack Meetings (Except Halloween) Class B T-shirts will be available to purchase for den meetings if you would like.
• Dues - $40 for Wolves, payment due by October 26^th. Payment goes to me. Please try to have this paid to me for Oct21st as I will have to turn it in by Oct26th. Thanks!!!
• Religious Awards – Please let me know ASAP if you plan on completing this with your Scout. Need to send the list to Pat Callery for Scout Sunday. Needs to be completed by Jan 1st

· Pack Meeting – MOS 6:30pm Oct 26^th Halloween Celebration –costumes and please bring a bag of candy (no peanuts)

· Pack 130 Swim Night Nov 19^th at Arcadia HS $3 per person – sign up ASAP.
